Understanding your blood pressure is one of the most important steps you can take toward protecting your heart and overall health. Many people hear terms like “120 over 80” but may not fully understand what these numbers mean or why they matter.
Acreage Seventh-day Adventist Church is pleased to present an educational health seminar titled “Decoding Your Numbers: A Guide to Understanding Blood Pressure.” This presentation will be led by Dr. Jocelyne Blanc, who will help participants better understand how blood pressure affects the body and why monitoring it is so important.
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is often called the “silent condition” because it may not show obvious symptoms. Yet it can significantly increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious health problems. Learning how to interpret blood pressure readings can empower individuals to make informed health decisions and take proactive steps toward prevention.
During this presentation, Dr. Blanc will explain how blood pressure works, what the numbers mean, and what factors may influence these readings. Attendees will also learn practical ways to support heart health through lifestyle habits such as healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, and regular monitoring.
The goal of this session is to provide clear, practical information that helps individuals take control of their health. Our Health Ministry believes that knowledge is a powerful tool for prevention and wellness.
We invite everyone in our church and community to attend this important health discussion and gain valuable insight into maintaining healthy blood pressure.
